Stroll through the lush Passeio Alegre Gardens, then explore the historic Castelo do Queijo. Admire the modern architecture along Avenida da Boavista, including the striking Casa da Música, designed by the renowned architect Rem Koolhaas. Dive into the lively atmosphere of Bom Sucesso Market and relax in the picturesque Crystal Palace gardens.
Continue your exploration at the iconic Clérigos Church and Tower (Torre dos Clérigos), where you’ll also see the Cordoaria, Carmo, Carmelitas Churches, and the grand Avenida dos Aliados. Next, wander down Rua das Carmelitas to the Lello Bookstore, celebrated as one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Founded in 1906 by the Lello brothers and designed by architect Francisco Xavier Esteves in neo-gothic style, Lello Bookstore inspired J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series.
